Qualifications

Dr Muhammed Hanif Abram qualified as a dentist in 1998 at the University of the Witwatersrand. After gaining clinical experience in London, he joined, as a partner, into a successful group of dental practices in Pretoria. During his time in private dental practice, he completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry from the University of Stellenbosch, followed by a Diploma in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery from the University of Pretoria. Both diplomas were obtained cum laude.

In 2009, Dr Abram entered into a four-year training post in the dual speciality discipline of Periodontics and Oral Medicine. He has received his Master's degree cum laude, and his Master’s dissertation entitled "The Incidence of Oral and Oropharyngeal Cancer in South Africa for the five-year period 1997-2001" has been published in an accredited journal. He has also published papers internationally.

He has been active in training dentists in Implantology and has shared the platform with international specialists in lecturing to dentists and specialists.

As a Periodontist, Dr MH Abram is the founder of the Centre for Implantology and Oral Medicine.
